Lossless JPEG IP Core

This IP core complies with the Lossless JPEG format (ITU-T T.81 Annex H) and compresses/ decompresses still images.

It compresses and decompresses the image data without deterioration.

The IP core complying with JPEG XR format (ISO/IEC 29199-2), a new still image compression/decompression format following JPEG and JPEG 2000.

• The ".jpg" format refers to normal JPEG files.
• There are several extensions of JPEG XR (i.e., .jxr, .wdp, .hdp) and we use ".wdp" for the sample images because of circumstances of recent viewer software.
• Please prepare the environment to view the images in ".wdp" file format (The image data is compatible with the standard view from OS on Windows 7 and above.).
• Attributes such as compressed image file size and PSNR depend on original images because of the codec characteristics. The values thus vary.
